Key Features
Recipe Browsing
Navigate through your recipes organized by folders. Use pull-to-refresh to sync with the cloud. Browse collections and quickly find the recipe you need.
Recipe Details
View complete recipe information in a tabbed interface. Switch between Overview, Ingredients, and Steps tabs to see exactly what you need. Recipe metadata is displayed with clear icons showing servings, prep time, cook time, and more.
Recipe Images
Beautiful recipe photos are displayed prominently at the top of each recipe. Add images by including a file matching the recipe name:

Recipe Scaling
Easily adjust recipe quantities to cook for more or fewer people. Use the increment/decrement buttons or enter a specific number. All ingredient quantities update automatically. Supports both regular scaling and baker's percentages.
Cooking Mode
An immersive, full-screen cooking experience that displays one step at a time. Swipe horizontally between steps and see which ingredients are used in the current step highlighted at the bottom. Perfect for hands-free cooking.
Smart Shopping Lists
Generate shopping lists automatically from recipe ingredients. View your list organized by recipe or by supermarket aisle for efficient shopping. Check off items as you shop and share your list via any Android sharing method.
Built-in Timers
Set timers directly from cooking steps or use the dedicated timer screen. Timers run in the background and notify you with sound and vibration when complete - even if the app is closed.
Offline Support
Once your recipes are synced, they're available offline. Perfect for cooking in areas with poor connectivity or when you don't want distractions.
Sync Options
The Android app offers two ways to sync your recipes:
CookCloud (Recommended)
Our cloud-based sync service. Create a free account and your recipes sync automatically between all your devices. This is the recommended option for most users.
- Free account with generous storage
- Automatic sync across all platforms
- Works with the desktop app and iOS
- No configuration needed
Local Folders
Access recipes from a folder on your device using Android's file picker. Useful for manual file management or when you want to keep recipes on-device only.
Tip: CookCloud is the easiest option and works across all platforms, including iOS and desktop apps.
Requirements
- Android 8.0 (Oreo) or later
- Android phone or tablet
- Internet connection for initial sync and CookCloud features
